Summer Challenges

I was in my craft room about to pack stuff up to take to the lake with me and couldn't resist making a couple of cards for some challenges!!  I always get sidetracked when I am around my crafty stuff!

This card features the ever so adorable Grace Watching Fireworks image from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I think she is just too cute!  When my daughter Allison saw this card she told me she wanted it for her birthday.... can't believe she will be 6 on July 11th!

Tonight I was able to sneak away for a bit and make this card!!  Isn't Sunny Mae from Some Odd Girl just too cute!!??  I printed her off a few days ago and found a home for her tonight!  I am so excited that Card Makin' Mamas from CafeMom has moved over here with a fun and exciting new challenge blog.  I have missed my friends from that group so much!!  Yay!!

A Tropical Celebration!

I just love my new SU! set called Tropical Party.  I inked it up for the first time tonight and used it for the fun sketch at Friday Sketchers.  The DP is also by SU! and it is called Island Oasis.  AHHH... now if I were really at the beach!!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!  I hope you all have a super weekend!

We are having "SEW" Much Fun at The Stamping Boutique!!

Fairy Fly Away Mae

I had a couple of minutes to play with my new Fairy Fly Away Mae image from Some Odd Girl tonight.  I am having so much fun with these images!!  The papers are Basic Grey and I used Copics to color Mae.  Mae is popped up with dimensionals even though it is hard to tell by the picture.

I hope to get to some more of these images a little later tonight or tomorrow!!  I hope everyone is staying cool... the heat index is over 100 degrees here and it is starting to wear on me!!  Being 6 months pregnant in the heat and humidity is NO fun at all!!   Hopefully the heat will break a bit!  Thanks for stopping by!

It's Time to Shine!!

I am so excited that two of the DTs I am on are coming together this week!!! Some Odd Girl Freebie

Whew!  I am on a roll tonight!!  I colored up this amazing freebie from Some Odd Girl over the weekend.  I finally found a home for her on this card tonight!!  I wanted to use these purples because they reminded me of the blueberry concretes I keep having cravings for at Culvers this pregnancy!!  PaperTake Weekly is hosting an IceCream Flavors challenge that I am entering this card in!!  What a fun idea!  I am also submitting this card into the Bunny Zoe's Nice and Girly Challenge.  The layout is Arlana's sketch from over at SSW.  Ok, that is it from me tonight!!  Sweet dreams my friends!!

Wish I Were There!

The freebies at Bugaboo Stamps this week are just darling!!  There are two up to snag this week... both are these adorable little Beach Monkies!!  Thank you for these sweet little guys!  I so wish we were heading to the beach this summer... hopefully next year.  The layout is the current sketch at SSW and I am entering the One Stop Craft Challenge:  One for the Boys and Magical Crafts' Cards for a Male. 

TPE Pink and Black and a Great SSW Sketch!

This week's challenge at TPE is to use Pink and Black on our cards.  I used this fun little sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday for my layout.  I can't believe that tonight was the first time that I inked up Fleur Anya!  I have had her for weeks and she was looking so lonely in my TGF bin!  The DP is The Paper Studio and the cardstock is all SU!  Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope everyone has a most wonderful week!!

Happy Father's Day!

 I want to take this time to wish my wonderful husband, Chris a very happy Father's Day.  You are such a loving and devoted father.  Watching you love and take care of our kids makes me so proud and happy!  I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing day!!  The kids and I are all so lucky to have you in our lives.

This is a card I made for my hubby!  The image is Karen's Doodles, Time to Relax.  I thought of Chris the second I saw this card!!  The dog even reminds me of our dog, Bella!  I tried to get the kids to sit down and make a card for the Karen's Doodles Kids' challenge, but they didn't want to color at the moment!  They did help me pick out the colors and Allison had to put the funky ribbon on!

A Few Cards for a Few Challenges!

Last night I had a hard time sleeping so I headed down to the craft room and knocked out a few challenges!  I hope you like them!  Have a great weekend!!

This first card is for the Friday Sketchers current challenge.  What a fun layout!  I used TiddlyInks' Cookie set for this card.  SO stinkin cute!

This little cutie just makes me smile!!   I am entering this card into the Stamp Something Summer challenge this week.

This last card is for the TiddlyInks Bleep, Bleep, Boys and Their Robots challenge.  This amazing image is a FREEBIE right now at the TiddlyInks PCP group!! 

Baby, It's HOT Outside!

It sure is steamy here in Saint Louis!!  We went from weather in the 70s to the 90s.  What happened to June?  It feels more like late July or August!  We have been spending most of our time poolside to keep cool.  That's why I just had to print off and use this ever so cute little Some Odd Girl stamp.  I am just in love with this whole collection of digis!  This week's challenge at Some Odd Girl is to make your card ShImmER!  I used lots and lots of stickles and the pretty pink shiney bow.  The layout is the current sketch over at OCC Sketch Challenges.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and trying to stay cool!!

It's Little Miss Cynthia... Again!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  Mine was so nice!!  Yesterday Chris and I spent the day with the kids and my sister and today we went to my MIL's house to celebrate my neice's birthday.  The kids had lots of fun swimming and playing with their cousins!!

I wanted to get one more card made with Cynthia Pushing Mushrooms before the contest for The Stamping Boutique's DT came to a close.  I had so much fun using this adorable image the past couple of weeks!!  This card is also for the Crazy 4 Challenges Pink, Amethyst, and Celery challenge.  I am off to try to get some sleep!!  Another busy week starts tomorrow with Girl Scout Camp for Allison!!

Happy Birthday to my Neice!!

My neice, Rachel's birthday is coming up and I made this little journal for her.  It is hard to believe that she is already going to be 8 years old.  Where does the time go?? I used Cynthia Pushing Mushrooms by TSB and colored her with Copics and Stickles to add some sparkle!  I honestly don't know where I got this paper, but I really love the colors on it!!  Sorry for the super short post, I am off to go watch Allison perform in a Pom Pon camp performance.  I can't wait!!  She really is starting to be quite the little dancer!!  Have a wonderful day!

This card was so much fun to create!!  I love the bright and summer feel!!  This is my first Paper Makeup Stamps digi.  I was on the new release hop yesterday and just fell in love with this little set!  The papers are from my stash and I used Copics to color in these fun images.  I added some Crystal Effects for a glossy look.   I hope everyone's week is going well!!
