New Beginnings

Today I went to Cute Card Thursday's Challenge blog and saw that the challenge is to create a "new beginnings" type card. How perfect is it that today is Allison's first day of Kindergarten??! I was sitting here moping around and thought that it was a great time to craft and stop feeling sorry for myself!! I used the sketch Heather has up at CCC on CafeMom to make this card. Allison had a great first day... boy she was tired when I picked her up. She was so stinkin' cute this morning getting ready for the big day!

Sweet Dreams

Ever since I saw this week's sketch at ICSC, I have been going crazy trying to figure out what I was going to do with it. I love it, it just took some thinking! I was hopping around Dustin Pike's blog last night and found this ever so adorable freebie. I used all SU! materials along with this image (except for Copics for coloring). The stamp set is In the Stars and I used the Sweet Stars jumbo wheel to create the background. I am also using this card for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge which is to use 3D. The yellow stars are all raised up with pop dots!!
This card reminds me of when Dominic was a baby. We decorated his room in Sun, Moon, and Stars. Sniffle... now my baby is almost 8 and in 2nd grade!! Wow, how the time really goes by fast.

Two in One!!

Hello! Today was such a great day. My son Dominic started second grade. He was so excited and had lots of fun. It was also nice because I got to spend extra time with my 5 year old, Allison. She will be starting Kindergarden on Thursday. I really don't think I will do as well dropping her off as I was Dominic today. Although, I have to admit my heart hurt a bit when I left his classroom today.

This card is for Roses on Paper and Get Sketchy. The ladies at Roses on Paper asked us to find a sketch and use a punch while creating our card. I was on the Get Sketchy blog and really liked the sketch they have up and decided it would be great for both challenges. It is kinda hard to see, but I used my ticket corner punch and an edge punch on the brown strip of cardstock. I was so excited to get to use my new Sarah Kay stamp. I think the image is just too sweet. Well, I am off to start dinner for my family. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Susie Suprise

Tonight Allison and I got to work with The Greeting Farm's Susie Suprise set. Allison did such a great job coloring for a 5 year old and just looooooved the set as much as her mom!! This card is for Cupcake Craft Challenges' First Birthday challenge. They want to see bday cards with the option of a cupcake!! Fun! Happy Birthday Cupcake Craft Challenges!! The second challenge I made this for is Papertake Weekly's sketch challenge. It was a great sketch to work with!! I used Copics to color with and all SU! DP and cardstock.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge

My new Faerie Song Art stamp came today from SCADC!!! Yea! This is Bryony and I just think she is the sweetest fairy I have ever seen!! This card is for Midnight Madness' current sketch. I am really happy with the way it came out, I really like the sketch!! Now off to play with the other goodies that came today!!

Tags Galore!!

I am enjoying my time as Guest Designer at Crafty Creations so much! The ladies over there are just so nice and super talented! Thanks again for having me. This week we want to see some tags on your projects! You don't have to make a card, it can be anything. If you haven't checked out Crafty Creations, please stop by... I know you will love it!

I made this apple tag on my cricut with the Doodle Charms cartriage. The paper is Bella Rose from Stampin Up... I just really love this DP! This is a teacher's gift for Allison's Kindergarten Teacher. Inside she will find 5 Teacher Anya cards and envies. I hope she likes it!

ICSC #30 and A Spoon Full of Sugar

The sketch this week at ICSC is a lot of fun!! I decided to combine their challenge with A Spoon Full of Sugar's Travel Challenge. For this card I used this image that my very sweet and thoughtful Friend, Dee sent me a looooong time ago. Thank, Dee! I colored this cute couple with Copics and SU! markers. I honestly don't know who makes this paper, but I really like it!! I have got to start keeping better track of the makers before I put my paper away!! I have been feeling kinda stressed this week, and it was nice to get downstairs into my stamping room and just get away for a bit. Thanks for coming by to visit me!!

Beary Special

I went into my stamping room to do Stamptacular Sunday's Challenge #20 which is to create a project using a bear theme. That is when I realized (much to my surprise!) that I don't own ANY bear stamps!! Growing up I just loved teddy bears and I just couldn't believe I didn't have even one! Luckily I was able to go into my image stash and low and behold there was a cute little guy that my friend Shannon sent me some time ago!!

I colored him using copics and SU! markers. The dp is all Stampin Up and of course the flowers are Primas. I am so glad I was able to get this one done... thanks for saving me, Shannon!!

The Ingredients for a Tea Party!!

Stamptacular Sunday's current challenge is an ingredient challenge. They gave us the "ingredients" to use in our creations. We were to use one flower, two different designer papers, and three brads. I chose this ADORABLE Tea Party set by My Cute Stamps. I ordered this because my girls loooove to have tea parties with their Grandma Rose, and I knew I would get lots of use out of it. Isn't it cute?? I also used Tea Party DP from SU! (I thought it was fitting!! :)!) I also used my new Martha Stewart Edge punch on this card.

Where Did Summer Go??

It is just so hard for me to believe that summer is coming to an end. I was lucky enough to work only part-time this summer to spend extra time with my kids. When I was at work, they are too because I work at a preschool!! We really had a lot of fun. Yesterday we headed to the pool and just had a blast. The weather was perfect and the kids were, too!! (believe it or not!!) I was excited when I saw that Cute Card Thursday's challenge is to create a beach card. At least I can hold on a bit longer, right!?? I also used the sketch from Delightful Sketches. Have a beautiful evening!

Let's See Some Yellow!!

When Deena from Crafty Creations sent me the challenge for the second week as Guest Designer, I was so excited!! We are using yellow in our projects to celebrate the last of the summer sun!!! I tend to forget to use yellow... but I really think it makes for such a cheery and fun look. I decided not to make a card this week, but a journal. I just love this DP and have used it many times before. The card stock is So Saffron by SU! If you haven't stopped by Crafty Creations, head on over and create something yellow!!

Midnight Madness #14

I have been wanting to try the technique where you just punch circles of the same color as your background to give a textured effect for some time now. I finally did it tonight using Midnight Madness' sketch for this week. If you haven't been to their blog, you should check it out. There is so much going on!! I used this Annika image that I got in an image swap in TGF Sisters on CafeMom. She is just too cute!! I colored her with my Copic Markers and all of the cardstock and DP is from SU! You really can't tell in the picture. but the white CS is shimmery. Good night my friends, sleep tight!

ICSketches #29

You all know how much I enjoy ICSketches and this week is no different than any other!! The sketch is great and the DT has made such fabulous cards! For this one I decided to use Birthday Ian. He was free from TGF's birthday bash!! Isn't he adorable?? I used copics to color him and some stickles for a little sparkle. The paper is all from my scap bin- yeah!!! I am finally using some of those scraps up! I hope everyone is doing well!!

I used SU! dp and card stock for this card. The images are colored with SU! markers and Copics. I know it is a little early for Halloween, but I just couldn't resist these cute little guys!! Friday Sketchers

It feels like forever that I posted!! I had a super busy weekend and this is the first chance I have had to really get on the computer. This card is for the current sketch over at Friday Sketchers. When I saw this sketch I thought of this image right away. She is Susan by Elisabeth Bell. She was created by Elisabeth Bell just for SCADC, and I just loooove her. So, so sweet! I colored Miss Susan with my Copics. The paper is from Michaels (sorry, I don't know the maker!), and the cardstock is by SU!
