Tonight I made this card using a sentiment I bought from Paper Makeup Stamps quite some time ago. I just love the sentiment. "Friends are angels who lift lift s to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." It just speaks for itself!! I am so greatful to all the wonderful people in my life that I am so proud to call friends.

I am so happy that I was able to make a card today!! That is two in one week... go me!! This card is for the Card Makin' Mamas current challenge... which is birthdays. The picture is not the greatest, I will try again tomorrow when the lighting is better. I was able to use my new Stampin' Up set and papers. Hopefully I will be back with some more creations really soon!! Have a great weekend!

This is crazy!! I haven't posted since FEB!!! That is so sad!! I actually cleaned out my stamp room today and was able to find my stuff!! Yay! I really thought that I would have gotten to stamp more this summer, but not so much!! I teach second grade and still have a couple weeks off, so we will see if I can get anything else made! I hope all of my stamping friends have been doing well. I truly miss all of you even though I have not been around. Love you!

I Can't Believe it has Been This Long!

I signed in to my blog today suprised to see that I havent' posted since NOVEMBER! My life has been super crazy busy. I started a teaching job this year AND had baby #4. All of my kids are just amazing... I have had no time to craft with basketball, dance (3 classes between the girls), work, and the baby. Not to mention all of the regular things that go along with running a home! I hope to get something made today since I am off work for President's Day. This is a current picture of little Miss Elise. I hope everyone is doing well and that I get to catch up soon!

I hope everyone had a very blessed Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful holiday filled with great family, food, and memories!! This card is for the current challenge at Freshly Brewed Challenges which is a Christmas/Winter theme. The sketch was from last week's Sketch Saturday Challenge... I didn't quite make it!! Heather (owner of FBD) is one of my very best friends and she is the sweetest lady you will ever meet!! Ok... now how cute is this image from The Stamping Boutique??!! This image is called Natalie, and I just adore her! I am on the DT for TSB but have had to take some time off with the new baby. When I went to the shop I was amazed at all of the new images Tracey has out for Christmas!! This is for the Holidays challenge at Card Makin' Mamas and I used the current sketch from Paper Sundaes for this card and all of the papers and ink are SU! Keepin' It Simple!

Hi there! This week's challenge at Card Makin' Mamas is to keep it simple. I was really excited to see this challenge because simple is all I really have time for right now!! Today I took all four of my kids with me to Costco- BIG mistake!! It was super crazy... I seriously had at least 4 people tell me I had my hands full with looks of pity!! Oh, well! One day I will look back at this time and miss it terribly...

This card was made using SU! inks, sentiment, ribbon and papers. The cute little turkey is a bobble head from Bugaboo Stamps. He is just too cute!!

Wow! It has been way too long!

I can't believe how long it has been since I have last posted. SO much has happened in my life!! My husband and I welcomed our fourth child on September 25th. Elise Christine was 7 pounds 6 ounces and 19.5 inches long. She is just perfect! (except for a bit of colic, but I think we are turning the corner on that one!) Allison, our 6 year old jumped off the swing in our back yard and broke her elbow when Elise was just one week old. She ended up having surgery and got 2 pins put in. Her cast comes off at the end of the month along with the pins. My husband had been laid off for almost 11 months and got a job last Friday!! Thank God for this blessing! This has been one action packed maternity leave to say the least!

I have not had much time for crafting,but did get a chance to make a card tonight. I used this adorable new Angel Cake designed by my beautiful friend Heather. She owns Fresh Brewed Designs, and is having a DT call right now for her amazing company!! The papers are all SU! and the Sketch is the current sketch over at Sketch Saturday. Thank you for spending some time with me!! I am looking forward to making some more cards and getting back to the blog world!

Hi there! I hope you are all enjoying the end of your summer. We are just trying to sit back and relax and take in the last two weeks before school starts. Usually I am ready for the kiddos to go back to school, but not so much this year! We have really had a nice summer.

This week Party Time Tuesdays is looking for a summer birthday card. I thought Fleur Anya would be perfect for the occasion! I stamped the backgrouund paper myself using a new SU! set and inks. The embossing folder I used on the white card stock is also from SU! as is the sentiment!! I just love Party Time Tuesdays... it has helped me grow my stash of birthday cards and you know those always come in handy!

There's Magic in the Air! It's a Fresh Brewed Designs Blog Hop!!!!

Today we have a little bit of magical enchantment to share with you in these newest Fresh Brewed Designs images. As children we remember those Fairy Tales about mermaids and magical worlds where fairies live. We would lay in the grass and wonder if the patch of wildflowers was full of life, if mermaids swam in the sea beneath us. It is always fun to imagine and dream.

For my card I used Cordelia in the Sand. Isn't she just beautiful??!! Heather has totally outdone herself with this release. I used Stampin' Up cardstock and Blueberry Crisp DP. I sprayed the card with Smooch Spritz to give it a little shimmer.

Paper Make Up Stamps Challenge

I have just recently purchased this amazing set called Dandy Wishes from Paper Makeup Stamps. I love all of the possibilites for this set. This is just one of the many stamps that come with Just Dandy... I love each and every one of them!! I chose to use Kraft paper, Chocolate Chip CS/ ink, and Groovy Guava CS/ink all from SU! to create this card. Summer Days

This summer just seems to be flying by!! We have had lots of fun swimming, going to the zoo, visiting Grant's Farm, going to the lake, and getting stuff done around the house. It is hard to believe that in one month my kids will be going back to school. This week AllSorts is celebrating summer with a Summer Days Challenge. The image I used is from TiddlyInks called Going Swimming. They have a great sale going on right now so I snagged a few of the new Halloween images as well! The papers are all SU! and the ribbon is from the dollar section at Michaels. Hope you like it... I think it turned out pretty Cute!

Reuse and Recycle with Fab n' Funky

This week's challenge at Fab n' Funky is to Reuse and Recycle. I was able to make this card using only papers from my scrap pile :)... I always say I am going to use them, but my paper addiction usually gets the best of me and I cut up a new piece! The ribbon came from a card I made ages ago that I know I will never send or give to anyone... reuse!! I just love these colors together... so warm and cozy. The sentiment is from P.M.S. Glad you could spend part of your day with me!!

Simple Elegance

Good Morning! It has been a few days since I posted last. We have been busy at our house moving bedrooms around and painting.... getting ready for Baby Elise's arrival at the end of September! I wanted to get the kids all situated in their new rooms before the baby comes so there would be a little less transition for them to deal with! I am so happy with the way everything turned out. Once I get the rooms more organized, I will post some pictures!!

This card is for two challenges. The first one is the Daisy Doodles Here Comes the Bride Challenge. This stamp is extra special to me because I named it!! Jules had a challenge going on to name this stamp and I submitted "Simple Elegance", and WON!! Yay! I think it is the prettiest little wedding cake ever.

The other challenge is Card Makin' Mamas' embossing challenge. I embossed the base of the card stock with a CB folder!! I know I have said it before, but I just love embossing on white card stock. I hope everyone is doing fabulous! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

It is time for a new Some Odd Girl Challenge!! This challenge is to use stripes, dots, and a BIG title on your project. Dancin' Mae is the image on this card. I was going through my stamps from SCACD and found this adorable Elisabeth Bell stamp called Little Suzanne that had never been inked up!! Isn't she just too sweet? The TIOT challenge is to make a clean and simple card using one color other than white. I love working with white and an accent color, so the challenge at TIOT was perfect for me... the only problem is that I didn't realize I had to use a stamp from Susanna's store... oops! Good Morning!! I wanted to share a card that I made this morning. I used one of the new Christmas Bobblehead images from Bugaboo Stamps to create a pocket card. Isn't this little fella cute?! It is always hard for me to make Christmas cards when it is hot out... but I was able to make it through!! I wish I could be more motivated to work on Christmas items througout the year so I am not freaking out when Christmas is actually here! I guess I just work better under pressure :)! Paper Sundaes is making a design team call! They are looking for two to three new DT members. Are you interested? Well all you need to do is:

create a card for each Sunday

post your creations by noon on Saturday (day before)

you are allowed to combine your DT card with other challenges

challenge details can be provided a month in advance - allowing you to create your card on your schedule

We just got back from our mini-vaca to the lake. It was such a great time. The kids had so much fun swimming, fishing, watching fireworks, and boating. I even had a chance to make some cards for some challenges!! Woo hoo! I hope everyone had a great holiday.... it is good to be back!!

Fairy Fly Away Mae

I had a couple of minutes to play with my new Fairy Fly Away Mae image from Some Odd Girl tonight. I am having so much fun with these images!! The papers are Basic Grey and I used Copics to color Mae. Mae is popped up with dimensionals even though it is hard to tell by the picture.

I hope to get to some more of these images a little later tonight or tomorrow!! I hope everyone is staying cool... the heat index is over 100 degrees here and it is starting to wear on me!! Being 6 months pregnant in the heat and humidity is NO fun at all!! Hopefully the heat will break a bit! Thanks for stopping by!

It sure is steamy here in Saint Louis!! We went from weather in the 70s to the 90s. What happened to June? It feels more like late July or August! We have been spending most of our time poolside to keep cool. That's why I just had to print off and use this ever so cute little Some Odd Girl stamp. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was so nice!! Yesterday Chris and I spent the day with the kids and my sister and today we went to my MIL's house to celebrate my neice's birthday. The kids had lots of fun swimming and playing with their cousins!!

That is the sentiment (from TGF) I chose for this card with the hopes that I get to be this cute little Hugabugg over the weekend at some point!! The pool we joined this summer opens on Monday and I plan on heading over there for a bit to just chill out!! Otherwise we have a pretty jammed packed holiday weekend! Tomorrow I have a 50th anniversary party to go to and Sunday we have a first birthday party to attend and we may even head down to the lake later that day. I am exhausted just thinking about all of the running we are going to do! At least the weekend will be spent with tons of friends and family, right?!! I used my Citrus Stack Pack for the DP and the current sketch at ICS for the layout of this card.

This is the card I made for the current Farm Fresh Friday. This week Mary has created a super fun sketch for us to follow. I decided to use Teacher Anya and make a card for my son's teacher. There are ony 3 days of school left until summer vacation... yipppppeeee!!! I am so ready for summer this year! I hope everyone has a great week!

I am so glad it is Friday!! My son is having a friend spend the night tonight, we have baseball and softball tomorrow, and then we are headed for the lake!! It has been a few months since we have gone down to our cabin and I can't wait to get down there. I had a few minutes tonight to work on some crafts. This is a card I made tonight using the Meljen's Designs image called Little Girl Bear Hugs... so cute! I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!

A Card for My Lazy Day

It is such a lazy and rainy day here today. I have tons of things that I should be doing, but just can't seem to get motivated! I was looking through all of the challenges I have waiting to do on my craft table and decided to work with the sketch from OCC Sketch Blog. Isn't it a fun sketch? I paired this challenge up with the Photo Inspiration Challenge at Oh, Alice! I have had this adorable FBD Buggy Nap Time image printed out all week for this challenge and finally got to it today! I guess I will try to get a few things done around my house. (Or maybe another challenge or two! :)) I hope you are all having a fabulous day!

Freshly Brewed Challenges #3- BYOC

It is hard to believe that it is already challenge #3 over at Freshly Brewed Challenges!! We are all so excited about this brand new challenge blog... if you haven't visited us yet, hurry up! This week's challenge is BYOC... Bring Your Own Coffee (or favorite drink!)!! I used this incredibly adorable FBD image called Queen for a Day and the sketch at The Pink Elephant for my card. It is also for the girly challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar. I found these cute flowers ages ago at the Dollar Store and they work perfectly with PaperTake Weekly's Challenge which is Say it with Flowers.

Flowers, Blooms, and a Great Sketch!

I have been able to get so much crafting done the past few days... woo hoo! I better not get used to it, because my kids will all be home for the summer in less than two weeks!! I am looking forward to having them home so we can go on a few trips to the lake and head to the pool!!

I was able to create this card today using the sketch 64 at CardPatterns and the Flowers and Blooms theme at Meljen's Designs DT Challenge Blog. The stamp is from SU! and the floral background paper and cardstock is all CTMH.

I know I am not alone when I say that cards for boys and men don't come easy for me! I am so used to using all the frills and flowers and it is hard to let go! I am pretty happy with the way this little guy turned out though. He is Fresh Brewed Designs' Skateboarder Bee. Cute isn't he?! I used Copics to color him. The paper is all SU! I really like the circles and colors.

Well, I am off to craft.... all of our baseball/softball games are cancelled today because of the rain!! What better way to spend a wet dreary day than down in my craft room!! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

It is really hard for me to believe that in less than two weeks my five year old Daughter, Allison will be graduating from Kindergarten. Even though I am very proud of her, I just wish I could freeze time for a little bit because she is getting so big! Where has the time gone??

I hope she enjoys this card I made her using Grad Anya!! The Farm Fresh Friday Challenge this week is to use these colors for inspiration. I used the sketch from Paper Sundaes... simple and cute! This is my first time entering their challenge... it looks like a fun place to play! Cute Card Thursday is looking for cards for Someone Special... Yay, Allison! I am also entering this into Stamp Something (celebrate something) and Little Red Wagon (brads- which was a challenge for me because I always forget to use them!!). Whew!! I think I got it all in!

Little Miss Dress Up

Whew! What a long day! I was able to escape down to my craft room for a bit and was able to make this card. I am just lovin' Little Miss Dress Up from Pixie Dust Studio. I know I always say that images remind me of Allison, but this one does so much!! Ever since Allison could walk I swear she was dressing up. So cute! Well, I am off to bed. I need to rest. The baby must really be growing because I am just exhausted these days! Have a great evening my friends.

Crafty Creations DT Card: Around the World

Wow!! It has been awhile! This week Crafty Creations is looking for projects to reflect "Around the World". We are being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs and the winner will get to choose 4 images!! This image was given to the DT to play with. I heat embossed the background and large flowers with gold embossing powder and used Copics and a gold gel pen for coloring. I used this super fun layout from the current sketch over at The Creative Card Crew's Challenge. I changed the inside circle to a rectangle... hope that is ok! Some Fun New Stamps!

I had a chance this morning to play with the new stamps I ordered from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! I just think that the new line by Elisabeth Bell is just darling.

This first card features the stamp "Daydreaming". I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I am also entering it into the Stamptacular Sunday a Celebration for Moms.

This card features the stamp called "Bubbles". Too cute! I used the sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp Sketchy Thursday. How fun is this?? I fell in love with this image the second I saw it!! Audrey Fishing from The Stamping Boutique just stole my heart because she looks so much like my little Allison. My parents have a lake house and we fish just about every time we go down. Honestly, I am not one for fishing, but Allison just loves it!! I can't wait until school gets out so we can spend some time relaxing down at the lake!!! Yay for summer! I used the current sketch at Get Sketchy for this card.
